A Warrior is one that is open to the Truth with a capital “T”. We all have our truths that we believe are “the” truth. A warrior is open to questioning everything she/he believes to be truth.

It is like a large bag full of our beliefs that we have carried most all of our lives and if we want to be a Warrior, we must take out everything in our bag and look at it thoroughly and determine if it still serves us or is it finally time to throw it away.

There are several traditions that have definitions of a Warrior:
To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other.

Anybody who is interested in really looking at themselves with gentleness and honesty could consider themselves a Warrior. It starts with this interest and determination, a gentle determination. You want to really know yourself completely so you don?t have to have these habits that you wished you didn?t have, which are all based on just trying not to feel the pain of feeling that you?re not ok, fundamentally at the core.
